

Dental Assisting courses
Dental Assisting with Dental Radiology course by Dental Training with Jenn is an accelerated entry-level program located in Shelbyville, Indiana. The program is fully approved by the Office for Career and Technical Schools (OCTS) of Indiana and blends interactive lectures with extensive physical practice.
Key Course Details Duration & Structure: The program consists of 12 weeks of hands-on instruction followed by a 35-hour clinical externship in a local dental office. Core Curriculum: Topics cover dental anatomy, dental terminology, primary instruments, CPR certification, OSHA/BBP compliance, infection control, and Dental Radiology.
Facilities & Equipment: Students practice in three real dental operatories using a dedicated typodont (dental model) and a fully functioning dental sterilization area. Radiology Certification: The radiology portion is approved by the Indiana State Department of Health Radiology Division, qualifying graduates to sit for the DANB RHS exam.
Prerequisites: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applications are due 3 weeks before start of class.
Advanced Offerings Dental Training with Jenn also offers separate advanced modules, including Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA), Coronal Polishing/Fluoride labs, and Orthodontic Assisting.
Our course schedules
Saturday Dental Assisting courses are 12 weeks with a 35 hour externship. Meeting every saturday for twelve weeks from 9-5pm. Our next Saturday course starts November 7th.
Daytime Dental Assisting courses are 12 weeks with a 35 hour externship. Meeting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays form 10-2pm. Classes Start in January 2027
Evening Dental Assisting courses meet for 14 weeks with a 35 hour externship. Meeting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-9pm. Classes start in December.
