Coronal Polishing and Caries Prevention Certifications

​The Coronal Polishing and Caries Prevention (Fluoride) Certification Course offered by Dental Training with Jenn is an Indiana State Dental Board-approved program. It is designed for existing dental assistants looking to expand their credentials

Course Requirements & Breakdown

The training utilizes a hybrid format combining flexible online learning with an intensive, mandatory hands-on clinical lab: 

• Online Coursework (14 Hours): Consists of 9 hours of caries prevention and 5 hours of coronal polishing didactic modules.

• In-Person Clinical Lab (4 Hours): A 4-hour hands-on session held at their training facility at 24 W Rampart Rd, Shelbyville, IN.

• In-Office Clinical Practice: After completing the online and lab portions, students must successfully polish and apply fluoride to 5 patients in their own dental office to receive their final Certificate of Completion.

• Pricing & Prerequisites

• Tuition: $595, which includes all necessary supplies and both certifications. (Note: If you enroll in their broader Extended Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) course, this training is often included at no additional charge)

• Prerequisites: In compliance with the Indiana State Board of Dentistry, applicants must either have completed a CODA-accredited dental assisting program or have at least 1 year of active dental assisting experience.
