Dental Training with Jenn: EFDA Course Overview 
The Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA) course offered by Dental Training with Jenn is an accelerated, advanced certificate program based in Shelbyville, Indiana. Fully approved by the Office for Career and Technical Schools (OCTS) of Indiana, this program equips experienced dental assistants with the advanced clinical skills required to elevate their professional responsibilities and earning potential. 
Course Format & Structure:

•    Duration: The intensive program delivers 24 instructional hours structured across 4 consecutive Friday sessions (typically 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
•    Hands-on Instruction: The curriculum features an 40% instructor-led approach paired with 60% interactive lab work, allowing students to train inside physical dental operatories utilizing dedicated typodont models.
•    Curriculum Focus: Focuses extensively on Dental anatomy, Materials Science, and the precision placement, carving, and contouring of dental resins  to ensure proper anatomical occlusion.  Hipaa, Osha and Infection control. 

Prerequisites & Enrollment Requirements
To qualify for enrollment, applicants must meet at least one of the following baseline
clinical criteria:
• Successful completion of a formal Dental Assisting Program.
• A minimum of one year of verified, continuous on-the-job training as a practicing dental 
assistant.

Total Cost: The program tuition is $1,650.
